My Machine

Here is my machine, which I LOVE!! It's a Bernina Inspiration 1530. I've had it since 1992 and it's still going strong.

My First Quilt

Here is my first quilt. I'm not sure what age I made this, but I know my mom helped me. The blocks measure 4 1/2" and the finished quilt measures 23" x 29". It's small - like a baby quilt.

Unfinished Project

Here is a pattern that I wanted my mom to make for me many years ago. My doll never got make, but I kept the pattern so I could make it one day... yeah, still not done :)

Sew Amazed

When I was in High School, my friend started taking sewing lessons. I was AMAZED at the things she could make out of a flat piece of fabric. Of course she was making the standard things: the drawstring bag, the elastic shorts, and if you were in the advanced class: a dress.

I was still amazed. I had to know how she did it, so my mom signed me up for classes and I've loved it ever since :) I even went on to teach sewing (the highest honor - in my book) LOL

I'm not a couture seamstress, but I think I do pretty well :) So, here's my blog with a few things I've done and (planning on) doing. I'm sure once my daughter starts school, my blog will be updated more frequently!
